Hi there! My name is Todd Miller and I've been trying to teach myself Spanish for quite a while now.
I find it quite difficult to learn languages properly so the approach I have been taking to get started is simply to learn a few key phrases on various topics. This page is all about the common Spanish phrases that you might find useful when visiting bars & pubs.

Things to Ask in a Bar / Pub
English: Do you serve alcohol?
Spanish: ¿Hay alcohol?
English: Is there table service?
Spanish: ¿Hay servicio a la mesa?
English: A beer/two beers, please.
Spanish: Una cerveza/dos cervezas, por favor.
English: A glass of red/white wine.
Spanish: Un vaso de vino tinto/blanco.
English: A pint (of beer)
Spanish: Una jarra de cerveza
English: A bottle.
Spanish: Una botella.
English: Do you have any bar snacks?
Spanish: ¿Tiene algo para picar?
English: One more, please.
Spanish: Otro/a ______, por favor.
English: Another round, please.

I find that reading phrases is useful but it doesn't help me with pronunciation. For that you really need to listen to people who can speak Spanish well. I found a really useful video in which you can hear lots of common Spanish phrases that you'd use in a bar, spoken both in English and in Spanish.
